CYO promotes PLC 'sports as ministry' program
Catholic Youth Organization of Los Angeles has taken on a new program for coaches, parents, school administrators, parish leaders and the young athletes themselves which helps everyone appreciate the underlying spiritual dimension of sports.

Lady Spartans win CYO championship game at Staples Center
More than 500 Catholic Youth Organization girls' varsity basketball boosters from East and West Los Angeles watched St. Jerome's Lady Spartans defeat Our Lady of Lourdes' Lady Lions, 30-24, in a hard-fought championship game at Staples Center Feb. 28.

St. Mary's notches CIF-SS basketball title
St. Mary's Academy of Inglewood captured the CIF-Southern Section Division IVAA basketball title last weekend March 2 at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
