St. Paschal Baylon hosts two fundraisers

Two fundraising events are scheduled in the coming weeks at St. Paschal Baylon Church, Thousand Oaks.

On June 29, the parish will host the Conejo Food and Wine Fest to support Foodshare Inc. of Ventura and Manna Conejo Valley. The event (3-7 p.m.) takes place on the grounds of St. Paschal Baylon School, 155 E. Janss Rd. Information: www.conejofoodandwine.com.

On July 17, the parish Men’s Club hosts its 33rd annual Golf Classic, this year honoring outgoing pastor, Father David Heney, who this month concludes his 12-year pastorate at St. Paschal. Jean Beliveau was more than an athlete, though certainly he was a one-in-a-million athlete. The record of his achievements almost defies belief. He played in the National Hockey League for 20 seasons and retired with 10 championship rings.
