    Matt Maher, renowned Catholic singer, and Paul J. Kim, charismatic Catholic speaker, will team up to host the 2015 Conejo Youth Fest on June 20. The youth ministries of St. Paschal Baylon Parish and St. Rose of Lima Parish are the organizers of the event.

  • St. Vincent de Paul welcomes new development director

    St. Vincent de Paul’s camp and retreat center welcomes Juan Arambul as their new program and development director. Arambul will take on this newly created role in a full-time capacity in June. The announcement was made on March 20.

  • Association of Catholic Student Councils receives $150,000 grant

    The Association of Catholic Student Councils (TACSC), a California-based Catholic, leadership program for junior high students, has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the William H. Hannon Foundation.

  • Catholic college receives $8.5 million grant

    Thomas Aquinas College, a private liberal arts college in Ventura County, was the recent recipient of an $8.5 million grant from the Fritz B. Burns Foundation. The generous donation will go towards the college’s new lecture and concert hall.

  • Catholic Women’s association celebrates anniversary

    On Feb. 18, more than 60 members of the Young Ladies Institute (YLI) gathered in Ventura to celebrate their community chapter’s 75th anniversary.

  • New Textbook Launch

    On Feb. 26, the Louise M. Davies Foundation became the lead donor for the Catholic Textbook Project’s latest goal: four new Catholic history textbooks for grades 1 through 4.

  • Celebrating St. Patrick and St. Joseph

    St. Barbara Parish will host their 3rd annual St. Patrick/St. Joseph Day Benefit Dinner from 4:30-8 p.m. March 15 to raise funds for Notre Dame Elementary School and Bishop Diego Garcia High School.

  • ‘Una Noche de Fiesta’

    Villanova Preparatory High School is celebrating its 90th anniversary with its annual auction and dinner, hosted at the historic Camarillo Ranch House. The evening will carry the theme, “Una Noche De Fiesta” (“A Night of Celebration”) and will begin at 5:30 p.m. on March 28.

    The Catholic Textbook Project is offering a free giveaway for the month of February in order to introduce their nationally acclaimed History and Social Studies textbooks to Catholic educators. A Textbook Sampler CD will be made available to teachers upon request.
