When I’ve had a loose tooth or a cavity, I’ve noticed that my tongue automatically goes back and touches that tooth. I don’t know why, but it’s as if all I can think about is the tooth that is not right.

Getting acquainted with the revised Missal

A variety of educational opportunities are being offered this fall for Catholics to become better acquainted with aspects of the revised Roman Missal that will be implemented beginning Nov. 27 (the first Sunday of Advent) in parishes (some parishes may begin implementation sooner).

Wrath and resentment? Or compassion and mercy?

We're all familiar with holding grudges. We all get angry when someone treats us poorly. The anger may last a few minutes, days, months or years. The longer it lasts, the deeper the resentment can become. Today’s readings suggest that holding a serious grudge is not a very good idea.
