‘Fortnight’ Mass set June 24 at Cathedral
On June 24, Archbishop José Gomez will preside at the 10 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, to be celebrated in conjunction with the “Fortnight for Freedom.” The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has called on all dioceses, parishes and other Catholic institutions to participate in the June 21-July 4 “Fortnight,” a two-week period of prayer, education and action by American Catholics in support of religious freedom. Prayer of the MonthPapal intentions for November: That priests who experience difficulties may find comfort in their suffering, support in their doubts, and confirmation in their fidelity. That as fruit of the continental mission, Latin American Churches may send missionaries to other Churches.
