FAITH-BASED URBAN SCHOOLS --- Students Chazmin Clark, Scott Brooks and Raizel Benn walk in the hallway of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore in 2007. The White House has issued a report titled "Preserving a Critical National Asset: America's Disadvantaged Students and the Crisis in Faith-Based Urban Schools." The report shows that about half of the faith-based schools that have closed since 2002 have been Catholic institutions and most were located in poor urban neighborhoods.
