SOAR benefit dinner
SOAR (Support Our Aging Religious) will hold its 10th-annual Southern California benefit dinner Nov. 4 at the Center at Cathedral Plaza in Los Angeles. Honorary chairman Bishop Joseph Sartoris will preside honoring Marjorie and Edward Illig.
SOAR is a nationwide charity established to aid and assist religious communities in the care of their retired, elderly and infirmed members.

A.C.C.W's 60th annual conference
The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women's 60th-annual conference - to be held Nov. 5 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel - will be centered around the theme of "Facing Our Future While Remembering Our Past."
Renowned Christian singer and speaker Renee Bondi will not only share her thoughts on this theme, but also enlighten conference attendees with her life story of faith.
At the age of 29, Bondi suffered an accident and was paralyzed from the neck down. Doctors said she would never walk or sing again. But gradually, through the support and prayers of family and friends, she regained her active life and even gave birth to her son Daniel.
