Bugtime Adventures: Award-winning TV Bible series

text only version

In 2001, the parent company of Heart of the Nation, Santa Fe Communications Inc., embarked on a new children's television programming venture: "Lightning Bug Flix."

The company's first project, "Bugtime Adventures," is a 13-part animated series which debuted with its award-winning video, "Blessing in Disguise," in 2005. The series, which aired last year on EWTN and will soon be seen on TBN, weaves stories of two worlds: the giant world of the Bible with human characters and the tiny creature world below featuring fun bug characters.

President of Lightning Bug Flix, Bruno John, said the company's goal is lofty. "We want to be a company that impacts lives and shapes tomorrow's society by instilling the proven truths contained in the Word of God."

Parishes in Los Angeles will be receiving two free Bugtime Adventures VHS videos this fall along with the annual Heart of the Nation Sunday TV Mass mailer which includes Mass bulletin inserts and information cards for Eucharistic ministers.

An interactive website, www.Bugtime.com, features games, coloring pages and character downloads. Further information on Bugtime Adventures is available by calling (800) 430-0930.
