NPM 2008 Regional Convention
seeks logo design

text only version

In preparation for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians' (NPM) 2008 Western Regional Convention in Los Angeles, the local coordinating committee is inviting area artists to devise a convention logo, to be used in event publicity and promotional materials.

"One Body, One Spirit in Christ" is the theme for the Aug. 2008 event, which will include on Aug. 2, a day for Hispanic Musicians, and the convention Aug. 4-8. NPM schedules regional conventions in even-numbered years and a national convention in odd-numbered years; the 2007 national convention will be held July 9-13 in Indianapolis.

The logo should include the convention theme, dates and city, as well as the association name. Among the requirements are that the logo be "simple yet elegant," and that it be versatile enough to work in two colors as well as multiple colors.

Entries, inquiries and complete logo requirement information may be requested from the Office for Worship, the local coordinating body for the convention, (213) 637-7262. Deadline for entries is August 20, 2007.

Founded in 1976 and based in Washington, D.C., the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is an organization of musicians and liturgists to support and promote the value of musical liturgy.
