Lenten concert planned at Corpus Christi

Parish cantor Athena Greco (pictured in photo) will be one of the soloists in the musical "The Carpenter" which will be performed March 25, 2 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Pacific Palisades. Msgr. Liam Kidney, pastor (at right in photo), is presenting the two-act production depicting the life of Christ in words and music as a highlight of the Lenten season. Created by composer/musician Howlett Smith, the musical is performed by the 20-voice Harmony Choir, narrators, actor/singer Rod Perry and other featured soloists supported by the Howlett Smith Quartet. Song stylings include jazz, gospel, spiritual and classical. Admission is free; free-will donations appreciated. For more information, call (310) 454-1328.
