LITURGY --- Deacon Bill Lowe assists Santa Barbara Region Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Curry during the Mass Feb. 10 in which Lowe is ordained as a transitional deacon. Lowe, a former Episcopal priest, will be the first married man to be ordained as a Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles under a special papal provision.
