Waiting for adoption

text only version

For adoption information on the children profiled below, call the Los Angeles County Adoption information line at 1-888-811-1121, ext. 2

Alaesha
Alaesha, a beautiful and charming 12-year-old with an engaging smile and warm personality, has some special needs. She is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, but it does not impact her cognitively and does not stop her from being sweet, sensitive, talkative and inquisitive. Thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others, she is affectionate and loves to give and receive hugs. Alaesha also loves school and like any girl her age, she likes music, school dances and spending time with her friends.

Because of Alaesha's special needs, she requires the use of a wheelchair for mobility but she is working on using a walker and making great progress. Alaesha visits extended family members in the local area. She is in need of a loving adoptive family that will assist her in maintaining family member connections and reaching her full potential.

Keith & Eric
Keith and Eric are five-year-old twin brothers, active boys who love to play outdoors and go to the park. They are friendly, charming and enjoy interacting with others. Both boys love to express themselves and relish telling stories about their daily activities. They also enjoy watching television, particularly cartoons. Their favorite shows are "Jimmy Neutron" and "Spiderman."

The brothers have both attended preschool and will be starting kindergarten shortly. They have some mild developmental delays and are receiving therapeutic services. The boys are both healthy but have asthma, which is currently stable. They need an adoptive family who understands the need to keep this sibling set intact --- a special family with a lot of energy and love who can provide lots of structure for the boys.
