Los Angeles March for Life: Jan. 22

The Los Angeles Archdiocese Commission for Catholic Life Issues and Hispanics for Life are sponsoring the 2006 Los Angeles March for Life/Life Chain, Jan. 22, the 33rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Hispanics in particular are overwhelmingly pro-life." stated Astrid Bennett Gutierrez, board member of Hispanics for Life.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. in the plaza of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 W. Temple St., Los Angeles. A rosary procession at 2:30 p.m. will lead thousands to the busy Olvera Street area. Closing ceremonies, speakers and a press conference will begin at 3:45 p.m. at the mural area of Our Lady of Guadalupe adjacent to Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, 535 N. Main St., Los Angeles.
