PRISONER IN IRAQ --- A photograph shows a hooded
and wired man standing on a box at the Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad.
It's among the photographs released in the spring of 2004, where
U.S. soldiers appear to be torturing and humiliating Iraqi prisoners
of war. The Vatican newspaper said the acts by U.S. soldiers represented
an "unequivocal and inadmissible contrast with the principles
of a great democracy."
