St. Monica School to celebrate
75 years in September

text only version

St. Monica School, Santa Monica, will celebrate 75 years with a jubilee Mass Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the school auditorium. Alumni, parishioners, past and present school families, teachers, administrators and staff are welcome to join the celebration.

The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary opened the school in 1930. It was under their direction until 1974. The school has always strived to educate students academically and morally.

"The foundation my son received is incredible," said Kim Tuverson, a former school parent and current staff member. "Educationally the students are ready to go on to high school, but the values and foundation taught here will carry them into high school and beyond."
