The 42nd annual reception and tea for the Ladies of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul sponsored by the Hundred Committee Auxiliary in Los Angeles was held recently at the home of Dolores (Mrs. Bob) Hope in Toluca Lake.

During the reception, guests learned about the history of the Ladies of Charity in Los Angeles, beginning with the arrival of 12 members in 1948. According to the charitable group, over 260,000 volunteers now follow the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul.
