Students honored for academic excellence

San Pedro Region
text only version

St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower saluted its top academic students with "A Night of Adventure" celebration on March 16 in the school's multi-purpose facility.

The event honors the top 25 students from each grade, based on the student's grade point average, with special certificates from the school and recognition certificates from the City of Bellflower and the State of California.

Class of '92 alumnus Greg Husak served as the keynote speaker at the annual event. Husak, a University of California, Santa Barbara Ph.D candidate in Geography, spoke on his adventures around the world and the lessons he's learned through his studies, travels and athletic pursuits.
