Writer's Conference includes
'Passion' producer

Steve McEveety, executive producer of "The Passion of the Christ," "Braveheart" and other films, will be the keynote luncheon speaker at the fifth annual Catholic Writer's Conference scheduled June 25 at Thomas Aquinas College, Santa Paula. McEveety will discuss "The Passion" and why the film evoked such strong reactions.

Other speakers include Chris Weinkopf, editorial page editor of the los Angeles Daily News, and Colleen Cason, columnist for the Ventura County Star. Discussions on "Cinema from a Catholic View" and "Getting Your Book Published" will be featured, along with a morning talk by Father Dave Heney, pastor of St. Paschal Baylon Church, Thousand Oaks.
