More than 300 community members of the St. Francis Medical Center service area in Lynwood gathered to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
A dozen associates from the medical center's dietary department dressed in elaborate costumes danced from room to room throughout the hospital entertaining patients, staff and visitors. Mariachi singers and musicians serenaded the congregation and traditional Aztec dancers performed during a Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The evening culminated with a candlelight procession around the hospital grounds and vigil paying tribute to Our Lady. A reception offering pan dulce and hot cocoa concluded the celebration. |
