| Funeral Mass was held Dec. 9 at St. Clare Church in Santa Clarita for Timothy David Nolan, 51, who died suddenly Dec. 5. Nolan was the brother of Father Kevin Nolan, pastor of St. Augustine Church in Culver City currently serving as a U.S. Army Reserve chaplain in Iraq.
Burial took place at Assumption
Cemetery, Simi Valley.

Gallagher
Funeral Mass was held Oct. 31 at Church of The Holy Rosary
in Kilmactigue, Co. Sligo, Ireland for Vincent Gallagher,
who died Oct. 28. Gallagher was the brother of Msgr. Patrick
Gallagher, pastor of Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro.
Survivors
include John and Catherine Gallagher of Co. Sligo, Msgr. Gallagher,
Michael and Anne (Gallagher) Keane of London and Religious
Sister of Charity Francis Gallagher of Dublin, Ireland. Burial
took place in Kilmactigue cemetery, Co. Sligo.
Molly
Horan
A memorial Mass is planned Jan. 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Sacred
Heart Church, Lincoln Heights, for Molly Horan, who died Dec.
4. Horan was the mother of Father George Horan, co-director
of the Office of Restorative Justice/Detention Ministry for
the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Pierce
Funeral services were recently held locally for William Pierce,
who died Dec. 5. Pierce was the brother of Msgr. Robert Pierce,
pastor emeritus of St. Louise de Marillac Church in Covina.
Bishop
Carlos Lewis, SVD
Funeral services were held recently in New Orleans for Bishop
Carlos Lewis, retired auxiliary bishop of Panama City, Panama
and retired coadjutor bishop of David, Panama, who died Nov.
29 in New Orleans after a long illness.
Bishop Lewis was a Society of the Divine Word priest, and the brother of Divine Word Father Gerald Lewis, who taught for many years at Verbum Dei High School in Los Angeles.
Bishop Lewis was known for his love of the poor and suffering, as evidenced by the motto on his episcopal coat of arms: "That charity may abound more and more." Survivors include Father Lewis, currently working as a chaplain in the University of Texas Medical Center in Galveston, Texas, and a sister, Holy Family Sister Gloria Lewis of New Orleans.
