Three Council of Los Angeles Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conferences (groups of volunteers) in the San Gabriel Region are among those throughout Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties who need help in collecting toys, food and financial donations to help make the holiday season a memorable one for thousands of disadvantaged and homeless children and families.

The SVdP Conferences with holiday needs include St. Dorothy Conference, Glendora; St. Joseph Conference, Pomona; and Holy Name of Mary Conference, San Dimas.

Also seeking assistance are St. Dominic Savio Conference, Bellflower; St. Philomena Conference, Carson; Our Lady of Victory Conference, Compton; Our Mother of Good Counsel Conference, Los Angeles; St. Catherine Laboure Conference, Torrance; and St. Mel Conference, Woodland Hills.

Items may be delivered (or donations mailed) to the respective offices. Closing dates vary depending on the office, but range from Dec. 15 to Dec. 23. For more information about the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's local Conferences or outreach programs, call (323) 224-6298 or 800-97-HELP1, ext. 298.
