Chaminade Middle School teacher receives BRAVO nomination

Kathy King, music program director at Chaminade College Preparatory Middle School in Chatsworth, was recently named a 2005 BRAVO nominee for excellence as a music educator. She is among 82 exemplary teachers and schools selected as nominees by the Music Center of Los Angeles County for the 23rd annual Bravo Awards, which will be presented March 1st next year at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

Three Bravo Awards will be presented: $10,000 for the winning school, and $4,000 each for the two winning teachers. Of the 52 nominated teachers, 28 are elementary teachers, seven are middle school teachers and 17 are high school teachers. All nominees, finalists and winners receive prizes including books, tickets to performances and educational opportunities.
