Conference for Catholic Women: Nov. 22
The 57th annual conference of the Los Angeles Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women --- "Hope for the World through Prayer" --- will be held Nov. 22 at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, 930 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with the viewing of exhibits followed by a call to order by Nancy Glenn, ACCW president, at 9:30 a.m.

Guest speaker Lynn Lang is San Fernando Region coordinator in the Office of Religious Education. She earned a Masters of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University in Chicago, and gives workshops, talks and retreats on topics like mid-life spirituality, prayer and Mary.

Following the presentation, Cardinal Roger Mahony will serve as main celebrant for Mass, to be followed by a luncheon.

Tickets are $35 each. Tables are for 10. Make checks payable to ACCW and mail request, payment and self-addressed envelope (to receive tickets) to Grace Rinaldi, 5433 West 140th St., Hawthorne, CA 90250. Deadline is Nov. 5. For more information, call the ACCW office, (213) 637-7394.

Young Adult Day of Renewal: Nov. 20
Young adults, 18-39, are invited to attend a charismatic day of renewal Nov. 20 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The day includes prayer and praise, speakers, live music, Mass and fellowship and is sponsored by the Southern California Renewal Communities (SCRC) in collaboration with the archdiocesan Ministry with Young Adults.
