Jonathan Humiston, a junior at Loyola High School in Los Angeles, and his sister, Jennifer, a sophomore at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Canada Flintridge, spent hundreds of volunteer hours this summer organizing a library for Our Lady of Victory School in Compton.

The Humiston siblings, parishioners at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Pasadena, catalogued 3,500 books by title/author/reading level and inserted a labeled card into each book. After preparing the books, the Humistons helped to shelve and set up the library, which has been in heavy use since the new school year started.
