The archdiocesan Office of Restorative Justice is offering a two-part initial training for new volunteers, Nov. 13 and 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Topics include the spirituality of detention ministry, reconciliation, responding to the call, being a healing presence, pastoral visiting, images of God and the unconditional love of God.
The training takes place a La Reina High School, 106 W. Janss Rd., Thousand Oaks. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch. For more information, call (213) 637-7649. |
