DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS --- In observance of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Jane Rough, a volunteer, and Kristen Stash, an employee of St. Jude House, light some of the candles representing those killed by domestic violence prior to a candlelight vigil in Crown Point, Ind., Oct.11. Supported by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, St. Jude House is a safe emergency shelter and provider of services for victims of domestic violence and their dependent children.
