Serra Club creates program to honor member

When noted church architect and longtime Pasadena Serra Club member Alfred V. Chaix died in September 2003, club members initiated a program to honor his memory and continue his work of supporting priestly and religious vocations in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Recently, a delegation of Pasadena Serrans visited the Juan Diego House of formation in Gardena, to celebrate Mass, enjoy dinner and present to Father Bob Juarez and the seminarians a donation from the Alfred V. Chaix Remembrance Fund.

The Serrans were represented by Harriett and Arthur Callier, and Jim and Sandy Huff; Harriett Callier is preseident, and Jim Huff immediate past president of the Serra Club of Pasadena.
