Serra Club creates program
to honor member

San Gabriel Region
text only version

When noted church architect and longtime Pasadena Serra Club member Alfred V. Chaix died in September 2003, club members initiated a program to honor his memory and continue his work of supporting priestly and religious vocations in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Recently, a delegation of Pasadena Serrans visited the Juan Diego House of formation in Gardena, to celebrate Mass, enjoy dinner and present to Father Bob Juarez and the seminarians a donation from the Alfred V. Chaix Remembrance Fund.

The Serrans were represented by Harriett and Arthur Callier, and Jim and Sandy Huff; Harriett Callier is preseident, and Jim Huff immediate past president of the Serra Club of Pasadena.
