Catechist certification training offered

The first fall session (Module I) for those interested in completing the "Theology Phase" toward certification as a catechist, youth minister, confirmation team member, initiation team member or liturgical minister will be held at St. Didacus Church in Sylmar on Sept. 17-18 and Sept. 25.

Candidates for certification must complete Module I before attending Module II or III. Module II will be offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Burbank on Nov. 5-6 and Nov. 13. Module III will take place at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Canoga Park on Jan. 8 and Jan. 21-22. Friday workshops will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday workshops will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Module II and/or III can be taken within a three-year period at another center offering the Module Format or the Traditional Standard Format. Fees are $20 per module or $50 for all three modules. The formation is sponsored by the Office of Religious Education. For registration information, call (818) 365-5123.
