Our Lady of Grace offers summer Scripture classes, activities

San Fernando Region
text only version

Morning and evening Scripture classes focusing on the Book of Isaiah continue over the summer at Our Lady of Grace Church in Encino. Sister of Notre Dame Emilie Ann Palladino, director of adult spirituality, leads the ongoing Bible study series. Recently, an interpreter for the hearing impaired has been available during the evening class.

OLG's workshop series, "Journey Toward Success, 2004," will offer programs this summer aimed at empowering Spanish speaking women to develop balanced self-esteem, social and business skills. Well-known Spanish radio personality Elsa O'Farill facilitates the Journey Toward Success series.

Also coming up this summer is a listening session sponsored by the parish "Safeguard the Children" committee where church and school staff will gather to pray in solidarity with clergy sexual abuse survivors and their families. For information on any of these events, call the church ministry office at (818) 342-4505.
