Fifth grader Allison Casareto of St. Bruno School in Whittier recently placed seventh among 30 divers at the 2004 West Junior National Championships in San Antonio, Texas.
In March, Casareto won a third place medal on the one-meter board at the Region IX Junior Olympic Winter Championships held in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Casareto has been diving since she was 8 and currently practices six days a week at both the Pacific Diving Academy and USC. She currently holds the Hacienda Golf Club and Sunkist League dive record for 9- and 10-year-olds. In addition, Casareto maintains her place on the honor roll at St. Bruno School. |
