Theresa Marie Glavic, SND, dies
Funeral Mass was celebrated May 3 for Sister of Notre Dame
Theresa Marie Glavic, formerly known as Sister Mary Damaris
(Theresa Rose Glavic) who died April 29.
One of nine children, she was born in Cleveland, Ohio in
1919. After her profession as a Sister of Notre Dame, she
taught for 12 years in Cleveland. In 1951, sister moved to
California where she taught for the next 30 years in several
communities, including Los Angeles, Camarillo, Richmond, Woodland
Hills, Downey, Huntington Park and Maywood. Sister Theresa
Marie was known for her great interest and ability of teaching
art to students as well as to teachers.
Survivors include a niece, Mary Urgeleit, and nephew, John
Glavic, both of Euclid, Ohio, as well as many great nieces,
nephews and cousins. Burial took place at Assumption Cemetery
in Simi Valley.

Kathleen Anne Nelligan, CSC
Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 21 at Church of Our Lady
of Loretto, Notre Dame, Ind., for Holy Cross Sister Kathleen
Anne Nelligan, formerly Sister Mary Clara, who died Jan. 17
in Notre Dame.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1916, Sister Nelligan taught
in several Catholic schools in the western United States following
her profession as a Holy Cross Sister. Her first assignment
as an elementary school teacher was at Holy Cross School from
1937-40 in Ventura, where she returned in the '80s to serve
as Superior at Saint Catherine by the Sea. She served as Superior
General of her community from 1973-79 in Notre Dame.

contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross
Ministry with the Poor Fund, 401 Bertrand Hall, Saint Mary's,
Notre Dame, IN 46556.
Fred
Warnstedt
Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel
of the Resurrection May 13 for Fred Warnstedt who died May
8. Warnstedt was father to Father Mark Warnstedt, administrator
of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Downey.
Tomas
Miranda
Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
in Oxnard May 13 for Tomas Miranda who died May 7. Miranda
was father to Father Lorenzo Miranda, pastor of St. Louis
of France Church in La Puente.
