Catholic high school educators throughout Southern California will have the opportunity to attend the "Bearing Witness Institute" June 15-18 at Mount St. Mary's College Chalon Campus in Brentwood. This unique program, sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' Department of Catholic Schools, focuses on the history of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust and addresses issues of diversity, prejudice and bigotry in today's society and how to teach these topics in Catholic schools. The four-day workshop, which includes visits to the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust and a local synagogue, is designed for junior and senior high school teachers of history, social studies, religious studies and English.
