Celebrating 50 years of mission in Pacoima, Mary Immaculate Church held a Jubilee Banquet April 18 at the Ararat Hall in Mission Hills. The event is the first of several community celebrations planned marking the 50th anniversary milestone.

At the banquet, recognition was given to the late Oblate of Mary Immaculate Father Luciano Antone, for his many contributions to the community and, especially, the poor. Also, according to event organizers, the evening was a way for parish members to "remember the many challenges we have overcome in the last 50 years."
