Wolfgang Puck assists St. Vincent Meals on Wheels

Our Lady of the Angels Region
text only version

As part of his ongoing commitment to support St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, renowned chef Wolfgang Puck --- together with Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton of Campanile & La Brea Bakery, Octavio Becerra of Patina and Stephan Samson of Valentino --- created meals for over 2,000 homebound, mostly elderly L.A. residents on March 9.

St. Vincent Meals-on-Wheels, the largest privately-funded organization of its kind in the country, serves over 2,000 meals a day, 365 days a year --- more than 900,000 meals annually. The meals are prepared daily in the new, 16,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art kitchen located at St. Vincent Medical Center, Los Angeles, and delivered to homebound senior citizens, disabled and terminally ill patients and homeless adults and children. The $6.2 million annual expense budget is privately funded.

The St. Vincent Meals On Wheels upcoming Angel Ball Gala will be held on May 1, 2004 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire. For information, call (323) 904-4400.
