text only version

Students from St. Genevieve High School in Panorama City participated in a science bowl scrimmage Jan. 17 at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power headquarters in preparation for the 12th annual LADWP Science Bowl slated for Feb. 21.

St. Genevieve is one of 26 public/private/parochial schools, including Louisville High School in Woodland Hills, competing in the regional event, which seeks to encourage students to pursue studies and careers in math, science and technology fields.

The winning five-member team will represent the city at the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. April 29-May 3. Annually, more than 11,000 students from 1,800 high schools participate in the program.
