Documents of the Los Angeles Archdiocesan Synod have been published in paperback by Liturgy Training Publications, announced the Office of Synod Implementation.

Entitled "Gathered and Sent," the book "wonderfully and completely depicts and reflects all that transpired in this historical Synod process," said Deacon David Estrada, Synod Implementation director. "It presents all of the initiatives and strategies with their rich theological underpinnings as discerned and put forth by the people of God of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and approved by our Cardinal Archbishop."

Estrada said the book would assist parishes, pastoral regions and the archdiocese in continuing implementation efforts and as a reference guide.

He thanked the Synod Final Documents Commission and the Translation Committee for doing "an excellent job in preparing this publication."

In addition to the final pastoral initiatives, priorities and strategies of the Synod, the publication also includes Synod chronology, historical synopsis, a letter from Cardinal Roger Mahony and a statement by Synod interfaith observers.
