Six Catholic youth bands will converge at Don Bosco Technical
High School in Rosemead Jan. 30 for "Revelation: Catholic
Music Event" an evening of rock, alternative and tribal music
that's more than just big beats and catchy rhythms.
"We want a fun night as well as a way to spread the word
of God," says Jeremiah Madero of the band Set Apart that will
be appearing at the. "Our goal is to influence the church
and to get young adults to listen to more Christian music."
Sponsored
by Set Apart Ministries, the concert is the first of its kind
with more performances in the works. Madero plays guitar and
is lead singer for Set Apart and hopes that "the evening will
be a blessing for us all."
In addition to the group Set Apart, other artsists performing
include Oaks of Justice, Redemption, Seven Sorrows, Trevor
Thompson and J&C.
Admission to the 7 p.m. concert is $5. Don Bosco is located
